SUMMARY:The Great Elf Escape - Christmas play for 2-6 year olds
DESCRIPTION:Hermon Arts presents a new Christmas play for 2-6 year olds: ‘The Great Elf Escape’ \nAbout the Theatre Company: \nFuture Stories Theatre Company (FSTC) is a new theatre in education initiative based in London. FSTC runs classes for children as young as 6 months\, and creates theatre and performance opportunities to excite and inspire children and their families. \nWe believe that ‘The Great Elf Escape’ would be a brilliant first theatrical experience for young children. It is an interactive Christmas play full of music\, bubbles\, puppets\, games and hilarity and has been devised for children between 2 and 6 years of age. It’s written and performed by Emily Owens\, an experienced T.I.E practitioner and accomplished West End performer. \nBrief synopsis: \nThe play is set on Christmas Eve night and Elf Poppy has been tasked with wrapping all the Christmas presents before Santa flies. But\, OH NO\, she’s managed to wrap herself inside Elf HQ along with all the presents! There’s only 1 hour left until Santa has to fly…can anybody help Elf Poppy save Christmas and make the great escape? \nFor more information on Future Stories Theatre Company check out: \nwww.futurestoriestheatre.co.uk

SUMMARY:Beth Prior Collective
DESCRIPTION:Beth Prior Collective — Acoustic Trio \nThis December\, Beth Prior Collective hit the road in a special stripped back trio formation\,\ntaking all the flavour of BPC’s distinctive liquid dub sound and seeing what three musicians\ncan do with just guitars\, voices and double bass. \nFeaturing Beth Prior on vocals and guitar\, her long-time musical partner jazz guitarist Will Barnes and acclaimed jazz bassist Aidan Thorne on double bass\, the trio will be breathing new life into their back catalogue\, exploring wonderfully different incarnations of familiar songs. With Prior’s lyrical storytelling at the heart of the music\, expect an eclectic mix of reggae\, soul\, jazz and dub\, as these three musicians invite you to share an evening of music\, stories and spontaneous musical exploration. \nFrom their roots in the vibrant grassroots music culture of the Welsh Borders to stages at\nGreen Man\, Boomtown\, Nozstock and BBC Introducing at Latitude\, BPC have built a fiercely\nloyal following through their genre-blurring sound and captivating live performances. Having also supported reggae legends The Wailers\, the collective now returns with previously unreleased music from the archives and a new album set for release in 2027 on House on the Hill Records.

SUMMARY:Blue Lantern Session: Mark Radcliffe & Co Christmas Special
DESCRIPTION:Blue Lantern Session\n\nMark Radcliffe & Company \n\nRadco hit The Hermon this December for a night of music\, mischief\, and mild chaos. Don’t miss it!\nIt’s the Blue Lantern at the Hermon Christmas Special!\nJoin BBC Radio’s Mark Radcliffe and friends (and foes) for a genial meander through twenty-five years of music by his previous bands: The Family Mahone\, Foes and Galleon Blast. The Mahones played their first gig in 1998 since when Mark and his largely Chester-based musical chums have plied their dubious trade in several line-ups which\, in all honesty\, have all been quite similar.\n\nThis performance picks out songs from their less-than-illustrious back catalogue for a\nrelaxed\, age-appropriate re-appraisal. In the bastardised words of Fred Pontin (one for the teenagers): ‘book early to ensure disappointment’.\nTickets are likely to fly\, so grab yours now before they go!\n\nDon’t miss the chance to experience this very special Chrstimas Blue Lantern show in the intimate surroundings of Hermon Chapel this October.
